In October 2015 Croom concrete were contracted by Waterford county council to install a two new underpasses, on the new greenway been constructed on the old railway line between Dungarvin and tramore. This is part of a 10 million investment by Waterford council to help improve tourism in the area.

The first tunnel to be installed was an animal underpass and the second was to bridge and maintain an existing entrance on the greenway.

Croom were awarded the full contract, not only to supply the precast units but also to carry out all civil works involved in the project. The council had envisage a build time of approximately 6 weeks for both underpasses, but Croom incorporating the uses of offsite manufacturing of certain precast products managed to complete both projects in just 3 weeks, a 50% build time reduction.
